My all time favourite handbag

My grandma bought me this Vivienne Westwood handbag for Christmas 2011 (I didn't blog then, hence why it's here now), so I thought I'd do a quick post on it. I absolutely love it and I am so grateful for it.

Not only that, But the box you can see inside is a matching purse...

Like I said, I am so grateful and have never recieved a present so big or valuable before (I'm scared to use it most of the time).

So my question is... What has been your most treasured gift and why?

Thank you very much for reading.

The best and worst drug store make up (Superdrug and Boots)

WORST

THIS! is the 2true cover 'n' conceal from superdrug. I think that this is superdrug's own brand (correct me if I'm wrong) and I hate it. It's one of those concealers that clogs up under your eyes and gets into lines and doesn't blend properly. This is the second time I have had a bad experience with 2true. I once bought a liquid eyeliner and after 1-2 hours of being applied, the line would start to crack and crumble and would have to be constantly reapplied. I don't know if it's just me, but I wouldn't buy anything from this brand again.

BEST

I absolutely love this foundation which is dream matte mousse in the shade cameo. It applies really well to my face and stays there most of the day. I love mousse foundations at the moment as I just find them so easy to apply and find that they go onto my skin really well, as well as not being too 'caked on' in the warmer weather.

This is Maybelline moisture extreme with SPF15 in the shade orchid frost. I absolutely love this lipstick. I use it most days and I just think it gives my lips a really shimmery, spring look. Recently, I've started to wear less make up on my eyes and made a effort to wear more lip colours as I never used to and this has to be my favourite.

This is by far my favourite powder at the moment. I don't tend to use much powder in the spring/summer as I think it's nice for your skin to look 'dewy' in those months. However, if my skin is looking shiny I always use this. It is the collection 2000 pressed powder in translucent and I love it.

This is a collection 2000 mascara called super size fat lash mascara and, of course, it's in black. I naturally have quite long eyelashes anyway and I think this mascara works well at opening up my eyes without having to use layer after layer to build it up like most. I would definitely recommend this mascara if you want to open up your eyes without the mascara clumping or flaking off.

There you go. My best and worst. Thank you for reading and if you have any questions comment below.

Tips for charity shopping/thrifting

Hi guys, just wanted to do a quick blog about charity shopping (or as Americans call it: thrifting). I think that charity shopping can be a really good thing to do if you are looking for something unique, don't have much money but need a new outfit as well as being fun. I love how you can go in and not know what you will come back out with, as well as the feeling of 'finding' a good piece.

Number one
Always go early on in the week when you have some spare time. I recommend either a Tuesday or a Wednesday. I think that most people tend to donate to the charity shop in their spare time aka weekend, then the store can sort through them things on a Monday so yeah, go Tuesday :)

Number two
Go often! Unlike a chain of shops (topshop, new look, river island etc.) they can have a whole new variety of stock from one day to the next with people always donating new things so it's good to always nip in when you have time to see what new stock they have.

Number three
Don't go into a charity shop thinking "Yay I'm going to find a whole new look/new wardrobe for not much money and it will be great" because some times you will come home empty handed. Be prepared for that. But when you do find something it's great!!

Number four
Have a lot of time so that you can have a look through everything. Look through bigger sizes, the mens section, everywhere. Things may have got mixed up or you may find something you can customise/alter at home to turn it into your style.

Number five
Think about what you actually need. It can be tempting to go crazy and buy everything because of how cheap the items up but remember it all adds up!

Number six
Keep an open mind. What may not be so great on the hanger could look good when you get home and chop a bit off/sew a bit on/add sequins and glitter and make it amazing. So if you like the material of something or the cut then take it home and have a go at making it unique. You'll feel a lot more proud and special wearing it if you do.

So there you have it, Niki's six tips on charity shopping. Let me about any bargains you get and what your favourite charity shop is.
